FAQs

How long have you been shooting weddings?
I shot my first wedding in 1992. From '92 until 2000, I shot weddings and portraits part time, by referral only. During that time, I received my BFA, with an emphasis on Photography, from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. In 2000, I began working for myself full time, and have enjoyed a very full shooting schedule ever since!

Do I get to keep the negatives and/or high resolution digital files?
All-inclusive wedding packages and portrait sessions include the negatives and/or digital files at no additional charge. This allows you to make reprints on your own at a lower cost.

Do you work with an assistant?
Yes, I always work with an assistant at no additional charge.

Do you bring along backup equipment?
Always, always, always! Most of my backups have backups!

Do you do formal portraits?
My focus is definitely on candids and keeping your wedding photographs as natural and un-posed as possible. However, I also do formal photos. You decide beforehand how much time you want to devote to formals and who you want in them.

Do you shoot digital or film?
I shoot both film and digital. Most weddings and portrait sessions are shot digitally, but film options are available upon request.

How long before I receive my proofs?
Proofs are generally ready within 4-6 weeks of your wedding day, depending on lab schedules.
